As Wai-Tung is already approaching 30, his parents are pestering him to get married and have a child. To placate his parent’s growing concern about his singlehood, Simon suggests that Wai-Tung marries one of their tenants, Wei-Wei (May Chin). When they learn about his impending ‘marriage’, Wai-Tung’s excited parents fly down from Taiwan, to hold a magnificent wedding ceremony for their son. Wai-Tung does not dare to tell his parents the truth and goes ahead with the marriage. They go through the customary Chinese banquet. In his drunken stupor, Wai-tung beds Wei-Wei, who soon becomes pregnant. After learning of this, Simon becomes upset and his relationship with Wai-Tung worsens.
