He then went on to represent Singapore on international platforms Manhunt International (2002) in Shanghai and Mr World (2003) in London.
It was through his victorious conquests that Julian was discovered and scored his first TV debut in 2004 playing a major role as a police officer in the English drama HeartLanders (Season 3). In the same year, Julian made a cross over to the Chinese channel in teen drama The Champions. He also forayed into hosting by accepting to co-host a Chinese infotainment show Rootsmania.
In 2005, Julian was appointed the ambassador for Yellow Ribbon Project, a nationwide campaign that encourages the community to offer second chances to ex-offenders and their families.
