Plot Synopsis:
Twilight Dancers explores the the lives of Philippine's macho dancers. Young men working as dancers in gay bars, with most of them driven by circumstances. The story takes a deeper look at how three men make their living in Manila's gay district, as they work towards keeping their relationships and trust between each other.
Dwight (Tyron Perez) is currently the most popular performer at the gay club. However, he is considering to ditch his present macho dancer role to go abroad for better job prospects.
He unwisely gets involved with boytoy-hungry Madame Loca (Cherry Pie Pichache), a ruthless, corrupt businesswoman. Bert (Lauren Novero), previously a dancer and now her body-guard, tries in vain to warn Dwight. Together with his part time lover Alfred (Allen Dizon), they negotiate the perils of the shady sex industry, and confront issues of love, friendship and betrayal.
Twilight Dancers is the third movie from director Mel Chionglo about Philippine's macho dancer industry. Mel directed Midnight Dancers, Sibak in 1994, and followed up with Burlesk King in 1999. Twilight Dancers completes the trilogy of Mel's take on Macho Dancers in 2006, giving us an indepth peep into the shady gay industry.
