Moreno (2007)

Two gay men are torn between their love for one another and their disagreement over commitment–while one partner seeks monogamy, the other continually feels compelled to cheat. MORENO, a Tagalog-language romantic drama, explores the role of infidelity in homosexual relationships.

When Cris starts an investigative report on women who’s husbands take multiple lovers, he is forced to look into his own relationship with Denver, a relationship that while based on love, is filled with cheating and infidelity.

Cris Pablo (Doubt, Bathhouse) takes us on an exploration of the world of infidelity in the gay community in this, his latest feature film.  Originally given an “X” rating for it’s depiction of gay life, Pablo had to fight the film board of the Philippines’ to have it re-rated to “R-18” so the general public could see this controversial and important film.

Cris feels that love and monogamy should be enough for them but allows Denver to take other lovers to satisfy his “macho” side.  It is this syndrome that Cris Pablo explores in both men and women.
