Two Tenimyu cuties will be reprising their roles once again as Takumi and Gii! One ultimate, must see scene: Kyousuke Hamao and Watanabe really kissed! As in actual kissing! And, they have a bed scene! The chemistry is great (on screen and off screen!)
What is the movie all about? Takumi Kun: Niji Iro no Garasu is actually part of the Takumi Kun series, which was based on a popular manga. The story revolves around two male characters, Hayama Takumi and Saki Giichi. Takumi Kun: Niji Iro no Gasaru is the sequel of the first movie, Soshite Harukaze ni Sasayaite, which came out in 2007.
The second movie carries on off from the first. Takumi and Gii are now a couple. However, their relationship becomes rocky when first year guy Morita Tooru appears in the picture. Hayama Takumi begins to doubt Gii’s love, and thinks that his lover has given up on him and has moved on to Morita, a freshman guy.
How will the story end? Will Takumi and Gii eventually break up, or will their love become stronger as they fight for their love? I won’t tell you how the story ends, you will have to see the conclusion of the movie yourself.
The new members cast in the movie are the following:
Baba Royma as 5th generation Tezuka
Bishin Kawasumi as Hikaru Zaizen
Mio Akaba as new generation Marui
All of the cast of Takumi Kun Series 2 has changed except for one character, but is directed by the same director. The cast in the 2nd movie is just perfect. Don’t get me wrong, the cast in the first film was also good, and plenty of cute and adorable men. However, the 2nd movie’s cast is so perfectly thought out, one couldn’t think of picking a better bunch of young men.
The tales of love, romance and friendship enveloping in an exclusive guy’s. It explores prepubescent love, its ups and downs, its satisfaction and disappointments.
Once again, the sequel of the three part series shows the angst and love between two guys in an adorably cute way. I have seen all the movies in the Takumi Kun series, and needless to say, I favored the second movie the best. The storyline is touching, and it brought tears to my eyes. Everyting is so emotional and played out beautifully.
The third movie will come early spring of 2010, so better watch the first and second film of the series beforehand! A much recommended watch, and one of the best feel good Guy’s Love movies in Japan.
Takumi Kun Series II: Niji Iro no Garasu is a gay Asian film released in cinemas on April 25, 2009. It is in Japanese but several DVDs have English subtitles already. It is directed by Kenji Yokoi, starring Kyousuke Hamao and Watanabe Daisuke.
