Billed as a British Chinese gay comedy, it is about two gay friends who re-evaluate their own lives as they grow older in the gay community after attending the funeral of a closeted mutual friend, who suddenly dies of a heart failure during an encounter in the men’s room.
Mel, a masculine and vain Chinese is still hitting the clubs and sleeping around despite his age. He fears the committing to a relationship and is not keen on finding a soul mate. He meets up with Todd, a young Welshman, who tries very hard to get Mel to commit to towards a long lasting relationship.
Ash, on the other hand, is an effeminate gay who is trying hard to find Mr. Right. He finds little luck in his online hook-ups, who are much less manly than what he expects of his partner. After running into an old friend who is now a transgender, he decides to experiment in transvestism to find the real man he truly needs. He gains the attention of a hunky divorcee who is interested in his new transgendered look.
Overall, this is a feel good gay comedy that digs beneath the façade of the glamorous gay lifestyle, to uncover the yearnings and needs of our campy gay duo.
