Ambitious yakuza Kenji befriends harmonica-playing bartender Chuji, who moonlights as a part-time drug-dealer for the opposing gang. Their friendship is threatened by Kenji’s plans for advancement, as well as by his bodyguard’s growing jealousy of Chuji.
Chuji is a mixed race bartender in Japan, who gets embroiled with gangsters when he rescuses Kenji, a young yakuza who has been beaten up outside the club where Chuji works.
The two become close, in a relationship with homoerotic overtones. However, Kenji puts Chuji in danger through his plan to outwit the yakuzi.
